RHINO CAPTURE & RESEARCH @ PHINDA

Guests play an important role in conservation by participating in Phinda’s rhino darting partnership programme. Under expert supervision, a rhino is darted in order to plant a microchip in its horn and perform ear notching for future identification – an essential task to ensure the preservation of this endangered species.

These are tailormade safaris designed to fulfil guests’ ‘wish list’ of photographic subjects. A ranger specialised in photography and a private safari vehicle enable guests to capture as many dramatic wildlife moments as a professional would. Choose from any of CC Africa’s 45 lodges and camps in African wilderness highspots: Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Victoria Falls, Kenya and Tanzania. Should guests so wish, the same ranger can accompany them from lodge to lodge.
Recommended age: 12 years and older, maximum 6 guests, private safari vehicle, no minimum night stay, subject to availability of specialist ranger.
Recommended 3 photographer’s per safari vehicle for optimal viewing. Accommodation at any CC Africa Lodge for your Ranger is included in these rates. All the Rangers travel expenses and 3rd party accommodation are excluded from the above rate and will be for the guests’ account.
